The Bible tells us " If you build your house on shifting sand when a storm comes the building will crumble. If you build your house on a solid Rock, no storm can knock it down". It is the foundation that makes the building strong. It is the foundation that makes a difference. By the same token, Integrity is a foundation of living life.
Integrity is not just honesty, refusal to lie, steal or deceive in any way. It is about being honest to your inner self. It is about doing everything you have to do but not with greed, not with ego, not with expectations but with love, compassion, morality and truthfulness.
Let me Jog your memory a little, How many times you've helped someone out without asking anything in return but secretly made a note of the favour, that I've helped this person and now he owes me something.
"You have the right to perform your actions, but you are not entitled to the purpose of your actions". Do not let the fruit, the expectations, be the purpose of your actions. Don't let expectations guide your actions.
Well, when you say one thing and do another, you diminish your trust within yourself, you limit your self-esteem and simultaneously your own potential.
From HarishChandra to Lal Bahadur Shastri, From Lord Rama to Kaikai's son Bharat, Our history has umpteen epitomes, who lived a life of Integrity. "Integrity as a way of life" accounts for complete harmony in what one thinks, says and does. Whatever moral values one holds, he/she has to act in conformity with that. "Integrity is that invisible crown which is claimed by many, worn by few".
