LONELINESS
Do you zone out in the middle of the day and feel lost? Lost wherein you cant find yourself? Feel alone even when you are in a room full of friends? You want to smile but even when you try to, you fail. You fail to recognize the person in the mirror. I once read “The wind breathes lonely, longing to be seen. Sometimes, the soul has days like these.” Often, we aren't suffering from depression or anxiety, we are just lonely. And there’s a huge difference in being alone and being lonely. Mother Teresa claims that loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty. Yes, it’s true because with loneliness comes the feeling of resentment followed by bitterness that eats your soul.
A lot of us might think pandemic is the worst thing that could have happened, with so many people dying all over the world. But did we ever think that it’s better to die with a disease and heart full of joy than to survive every day with an almost dead heart? You start sensing loneliness when your soul, heart, and body are craving your attention but all you ever do is focus on others. Loneliness is a battle we fight with ourselves for ourselves. It’s ironic how loneliness can bring the very best in you only if you break the chains that pull you down. Stop being lonely and searching for a companion when you can be one for yourself! The sun first needs to enlighten itself to brighten up the world and darling so do you!
Nikola Tesla, one of the greatest minds once remarked “Be alone, that’s where ideas are born”. Next time you start pondering over the feeling of how lonely you are, why not just stand in front of a mirror and admire yourself for tolerating an exhilarating life until now! Why not do something that makes you happy or at least try to do it. Why not just smile and say it’s just a bad vibe that I need to wash off from my soul and I will be good to go. When you wake up instead of waiting for someone else to wish you morning why not hug yourself for and shout and say morning munchkin! Give it a try just a small compliment to yourself every time you feel low and see the difference. Let it out. Manifest positivity. Feel gratitude towards at least one thing at the end of the day and wake up feeling the same, it will go a long way. 💛
